Frequently asked questions

What kind of data can I translate with Reverso Documents?

You can translate all kinds of data, as long as it is XML-based. XML is a markup language that defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. It has come into common use for the interchange of data over the Internet. They are many services and tools that can export and import XML files such as database, data from API or Wordpress. Reverso Documents accepts those files and translates their content while keeping their markup so you can import them easily.

I have extracted content from my database in XML, but I don't wish to translate everything.

We offer some flexibility so that you can choose which content should be translated or ignored. All you have to do is create a configuration file - we provide instructions and tutorials on how you can write a file for your needs.

If you want to see an example, you can look at the SampleTemplate.xml file that we wrote. It is used for translating the XML export of a Wordpress blog. Once your configuration file is submitted, you will be able to translate only what you want to.

Is it free?

Yes but with some limits. For instance, you can translate your project up into 2 different languages. You are also limited in the number of words you can translate. But the limit is generally large enough to translate a whole application. If you reach it or want to translate into more languages, we have premium options for you. Check out our pricing page.
