Choosing a plan
Just sign up. You get 2,500 free credits, enough to translate 2,500 words. Beyond that, subscribe to a plan or buy one-time credits. Scanned PDFs require a Premium or Pro plan.
The Annual Pro plan offers the highest volume, up to 200,000 words per year (about 500 pages), and the best rate per word. For very large volumes or integration needs, we also offer an API. If your needs go beyond our plans, contact us and we'll build a solution that fits.
Monthly subscriptions let you translate up to 6,000 words per month (about 15 pages). For higher volumes, choose an annual plan: 50,000 words per year on Premium, or 200,000 words per year (about 500 pages) on Pro.

Credits
One credit equals one word. HTML and XML tags (such as <body> or <b>) are not translated and not deducted from your credits.
Subscriptions renew automatically and give you a lower rate per word, ideal for regular or high-volume needs. One-time credits suit occasional use with no commitment.
No. If your subscription renews, your new credits are added to your remaining balance. If it ends, you keep any remaining credits and can still use them.

Subscription & billing
Yes, you can cancel at any time. Your plan won't renew, and you keep your access until the end of your current period.
Yes. You can upgrade at any time directly from the pricing page by choosing a new plan. If you need help switching, our support team is here for you.
Invoices are sent to the email address set in your account. For subscriptions, you receive an invoice after each renewal, monthly or annual.
VAT is a consumption tax on goods and services in the European Union. In France, it applies to both individuals and businesses. If your business is in the EU outside France, enter your company name and VAT number to qualify for the exemption. Outside the EU, no VAT is charged.
Files & formats
Translate any document with clear text: Word (.doc, .docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Excel (.xls, .xlsx), CSV, HTML, XML, TXT, PDF, and technical formats (PO, RESX, STRING, XLIFF, and more). Scanned PDFs require a Premium or Pro plan.
File size limits depend on your plan: up to 2.5 MB on Free, 30 MB on Premium, and 120 MB on Pro.
Yes. PDF page limits depend on your plan: up to 100 pages on Premium and 250 pages on Pro, with the original layout preserved. Simpler layouts give the best results, especially for right-to-left languages (Arabic and Hebrew). For scanned or image-based PDFs, see the Scanned PDF section. For longer documents, split the PDF or convert it to Word.
Scanned PDFs are image-based pages, for example from a scanner or a converted image. On Premium and Pro plans, OCR runs automatically to extract the text before translation. For best results, use high-quality, non-handwritten pages with no watermark. You can also enable OCR manually from your account settings.
In PDFs, text inside images is translated on Premium and Pro plans through OCR (see Scanned PDFs). In other formats, images are kept as-is and their text is not translated.

Upload a document, choose your languages, and get an accurate translation with the original layout preserved. Translation is powered by Reverso's AI, refined over years of bilingual data. Start for free with 2,500 credits (about 6 pages).

Yes. The review editor lets you compare each segment, source against translation, then validate or edit it. You can also invite colleagues to review with you.
When you review a document, you can save your changes to your translation memory and reuse them in future translations.
Security & Privacy
Your documents are used only for the translations you launch, hosted on a private cloud, and never shared with third parties. Our team can access them only if you contact support. Free accounts keep files for up to 1 month, Premium and Pro for up to 1 year. To store no copy at all, enable Auto-delete before uploading and your file is removed as soon as you download it. Reverso Documents is GDPR compliant, SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified, and hosted entirely in Europe. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest, and are never used to train AI models.
